PawSox Fans Come in All Ages!

Greetings PawSox Fans!

As part of the PawSox “50 Acts of Kindness,” Yesterday Paws along with Staff paid a lunchtime visit to the East Providence Senior Center.

East Providence Mayor, Bob DaSilva requested a visit to the center to meet some of the best East Providence residents. PawSox Senior Director of Marketing and Merchandising Brooke Cooper. who is overseeing the “Kindness” program set the wheels in motion and everyone had a great time!

It’s an awesome Senior Center with a lot going on. Of course, everyone loved Paws. Long-time PawSox Season Ticket Holder, Jane heard Paws was coming and wanted to stop by.

Mike Lyons who handles the PawSox “In Debt to a Vet” in-game recognition enjoyed chatting with a World War II Vet who will be honored during a 2020 PawSox game.

We also had a chance to meet another World War II Vet, Gloria…

Hoping he gets to play for the Red Sox during the 2020 season, this 100.5-year-old lifelong baseball is ready to swing the bat!…

PawSox Ticket Guru, John Basler handled the prize wheel. Everyone could give it a spin and win a prize!

John then handed out the prizes…

It appears John handed out a levitating baseball!

Brooke did some juggling to entertain the crowd…

I joined a friendly game of Poker…

Brooke had the “real” Red Sox World Series rings for people to try on and take pictures with. The rings belong to PawSox Team President Dr. Charles Steinberg.

People loved having their pictures taken with the rings…

Brooke took the rings around to show to the tables, so they didn't even have to move to see them and try on!

Brooke set this nice lady up for a photo with the rings…

However, you can see the panic in Brooke’s face when she heard one of the rings was stuck on the lady’s finger! A trip to the restroom, using soap and water eventually freed the very valuable World Series ring…

It was a great time for everyone at the Senior Center! Chatting with the Seniors was very enjoyable. They have so much wisdom, humor, and talent.

Thank you Mayor Bob DaSilva for the request and working to make this happen.

Special thanks to PawSox Intern Alex Richardson for his spectacular photography skills…

We hope to spend some time with you soon, and we will be, “Here For You!”

Love hearing from you…………..rickm@pawsox.com

Yours in Baseball,
