Greetings PawSox Fans!

With the PawSox motto being, “Here For You!” we need it to be more than just an empty slogan. It has to be a way of dealing with any concerns that Fans may have. This is demanded from the PawSox Leadership.

Although the PawSox strive for perfection, there are times when things do not go as planned, and the Fan is a bit unhappy. We welcome all feedback, both negative and positive, as both help us improve. Last season a feedback link was set up so that Fans can offer us ideas, suggestions and let us know if their PawSox experience wasn’t a good one.

fanfeedback@pawsox.com has become very popular with Fans as they get a chance to offer ideas, suggestions, compliments and complaints.

Recently we received the following email from Leslie Atlas:

Hi,

I have two ceremonial balls that were thrown out by Milt Schmidt in 2009 and 2010, I think. I also have the shirt. Can you help me out with any information? Thank you so much!

Leslie Atlas

Attached were these 2 photos:

As you can see, both balls have autographs from two players. Bruins Hall of Fame Legend, Milt Schmidt, who recently passed away, threw out the first pitch in 2009 and 2010 prior to the PawSox games…

Now Leslie wanted to know who signed the balls. Leslie explained they want to identify who signed the balls, so they can use them for the Annual Auction and Raffle Holiday Sale with proceeds going to the Hardship Fund for the Staff.

I called Leslie and learned that she is the Activities Director at the Fox Hill Village in Westwood, MA where Milt called home for the last several years. “Milt was always very friendly and always smiling, he was a great man. He was fun to be around and is sadly missed” Leslie said.

Leslie explained that for a couple of days she has been trying to find out who signed the balls, so I told her we would make this attempt together. Since she was at her computer, we checked the internet and checked the PawSox rosters for 2009–2010.

From there, we used Google to check the autographs of the different players on the rosters. Since one of the balls had number 22, we found out who wore that number and checked his autograph, and BINGO! It was PawSox Catcher Juan Apodaca!

The other ball was more difficult, because it was signed by number 3. and it didn’t match up with any autograph. We kept digging…After a while we discovered that it was signed by Sean “Spike” Danielson.

Leslie, thanks for the email to get this figured out! Look forward to meeting you at the game when you bring folks from Fox Hill Village during the summer.

If you have any ideas and/or suggestions, concerns or complaints, please feel free to send them along. We try to anwser every email in a timely manner. Its what we do, for being…..”Here For You!”

Love hearing from you………….rickm@pawsox.com
